Five things that have caught my attention lately. No particular theme, no particular order — just things I’ve been watching, buying, making, doing and dreaming about.
1. Watching — Ted Lasso Season 4
Ted Lasso is back on my radar. Season 4 is here, and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing where they take it next. It’s one of those programmes that manages to be funny, warm and surprisingly thoughtful at the same time.
2. Purchasing — A new MacBook
A slightly bigger purchase this month — a new 13-inch MacBook. I’m looking forward to getting everything set up and, hopefully, using it for plenty of Made & Mused writing too. A legitimate purchase, therefore. Obviously.
3. Making — Christmas is coming…
Yes, I know it’s August. But if you make Christmas things, August is practically December. I’m starting to think about this year’s Christmas makes — what I want to try, what I might make again and which new creative rabbit holes I’m likely to disappear down.
4. Doing — The inevitable IKEA trip
We’re getting ready for the big university move, which can mean only one thing: IKEA. Lists are being made, things we apparently absolutely need are being identified, and I suspect we’ll come home with at least three things that weren’t on any list.
5. Dreaming — Italy 🇮🇹
Italy keeps calling me. Beautiful cities, little towns, amazing food, lakes, coastlines and plenty of places to sit with a coffee and watch the world go by. I don’t have the trip planned yet, but Italy is firmly on the places I really want to go list. 30th Wedding Anniversary in 2 years time !!
